begged me to give a multiple choice test once. They insisted that their
grades would improve if I gave multiple choice tests. >>
I had a student (who was failing my Int Algebra class) come up to me and say,
"Can I ask if you would be willing to give multiple choice exams?" I
replied, "You can *ask*, but you're not going to get one. And, if your last
teacher gave multiple guess exams, then they did you a disservice and that's
why you're failing my class."
The student just stood there blankly for a moment and then told me that I was
probably right.
