A friend of mine went through a series of job interviews
during the Spring and Summer of 1995; she went to many interviews up and
down the state of California trying
to make the switch from high school math teaching to Community College
teaching after she had gotten her Masters in Math.
She became quite disappointed when no one offered her anything for the
1995-96 school year. So she stayed teaching at the high school level for
95-96. Then she got several offers for the 96-97 school year; she is now
working at a community college up north. She
is quite happy to have made the switch into teaching at
the college level.
Just to let you know that some of the schools you
may be interviewing with may be searching for an
applicant for the 1998-99 school year.
Take Care and the best in your search,
