RE: [MATHEDCC] HTML question

Here's how I usually do it:

1) Use Equation Editor to create your equation
2) copy it to the clipboard
3) paste it into a simple graphics conversion program (I use Lview)
4) save it as a GIF file in the same directory as your HTML page
5) Use the Insert Image command in Page Composer, type in the file name you
gave the image.

That should do it! The only extra thing you need is a graphics conversion
utility, and there are lots of good free ones out there. Try to find one
that allows you to save the equation as a transparent GIF--it will look
better. For an example, see

If you are using the newer Word, you can put the equations in there--the
Save As HTML feature will AUTOMATICALLY convert them to GIF files. I don't
care for the other funky things it (Save as HTML) does to pages so I don't
use it much.
