The real problem is that symbolization with HTML has not evolved. What we
need are expressions that students can copy and paste and, better yet,
adapt and change.
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has recommended the Mathematical Markup
Language (MathML) as a way to do this. I believe it is now in beta.
