[MATHEDCC] Summer 99 Item-Writing Opportunities

D SQUARED ASSESSMENTS, INC. is having a very successful year and is seeking
to expand its pool of mathematics item-writers for some upcoming projects.
Teachers at all levels who are interested in writing items this summer are
encouraged to send an email to Deanna M. De'Liberto, President/Director of
Assessment. A number of item-writing training sessions (each session is 2-3
days depending on the project requirements) are being planned for June and
July. Actual item-writing will occur in July and August (again depending on
the particular of the project).

Retired teachers and graduate students are also encouraged to send an email
indicating their interest in our item-development opportunities. We also
expect to be recruiting teachers and graduate students for some of our
constructed response scoring centers to occur in September, December and
January.

Item-writers are paid on a per item basis for each acceptable item at rates
to be determined for each project depending on the item type and specs.
Item-Writers who attend training sessions are compensated at $250 per day of
training.

D SQUARED ASSESSMENTS, INC. develops tests and assessments for State
Education Departments and Local Education Authorities, and provides a number
of services to test publishers and educational publishers.
