The only technological training I received during my teacher training ... was
a one semester course entitled: "Computers in the Elementary School
Classroom." I can't say I really learned very much from the course ... as I
was already fairly computer literate. Yet for teachers who earned their
credentials before computers "hit the scene" in classrooms ... it was a good
introduction course to becoming familiar with the computer and its
possibilities in the classroom. Actually, there were a few such teachers in
the computer class I took, who didn't have a computer at home and never had
really used a computer at all! I did learn about some new software
possibilities, though.
