McGill has been closed down.
You do not need to take any action if you receive this message - it means
that you have been
successfully added to the new list.
Please remember to address all future postings to mathedcc@archives.math.utk.edu
If you had previously signed off MATHEDCC at the McGill listing you may
suddenly find yourself receiving the postings again - this relativistic
effect is due to the fact that the list at the archives was created a couple
of weeks ago and contains all subscribers who were on the list at that time.
If you have recently signed off at McGill you may find that you are still on
the new list at the archives. No need for alarm, you are not caught in an
endless time-warp. If you want to leave the list simply send the message
UNSUBSCRIBE MATHEDCC to MAJORDOMO@ARCHIVES.MATH.UTK.EDU.
Instructions for leaving the list are included at the bottom of every posting!
Note that all postings since March 1996 are now in our archives at
http://archives.math.utk.edu/hypermail/mathedcc/
I will gradually be adding files in reverse chronological order.
I want to thank our friends at the Mathematics Archives, especially Larry
Husch and John St. Clair, for helping me transfer the list to the math
archives site, creating the mathedcc archives, getting the Proceedings of
the Long Beach conference on line, and generally being very supportive and
welcoming us to this superb mathematics web site.
Please let your colleagues know about our change of address and our new
features.
