Our school is currently reviewing the topics we cover in our 5 unit, sophomore
level discrete math course and our text. There has been a lot of discussion
as to what topics should be included and at what level those topics should be
taught.

1) If your school is teaching this course could you please share what text
you are using?

2) Does anyone have any official documents from AMATYC (or MAA, etc) on what
topics are appropriate (and expected) for this course?

I've got my eye on Discrete and Combinatorics Mathematics by Grimaldi. It is
the text I learned with, but I haven't heard back from Addison Wesley on
whether it's still available. Anyone here using it?

My course outline is at school.... On Monday I can post our current topics, if
this will help!

I've kind of been put in charge of this project - and you know I'm new at all
this - so I'd really appreciate your help on this!!

Thanks!!
