Examples of Duties:
Instruct community college mathematics courses to a diverse student body
with diverse learning styles. The courses range from arithmetic and
beginning algebra to elementary statistics, calculus, linear algebra and
differential equations. Perform other duties such as curriculum revision
or development, and textbook selection. Where appropriate, develop
curriculum as it relates to the discipline infusing multicultural
perspectives and contributions. Hold daily office hours being flexible to
the needs of a diverse student population. Professional obligation to
college governance includes a commitment to serve on at least two
departmental, division, campus and/or district level committees per year.
Other duties consistent with faculty responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in mathematics or applied mathematics OR Bachelor's Degree
in either of the above AND Master's Degree in statistics, physics, or
mathematical education OR the equivalent.
