[MATHEDCC] Developmental vs Remedial

In my opinion developmental suggests getting a student mathematically
mature enough to succeed in college-level mathematics courses; whereas,
remedial connotes re-learning those concepts not learned or learned "wrong"
in high school. The DMC (Developmental Mathematics Committee) in AMATYC in
a recent draft of a position paper refers to this area as Foundation
Courses--which I really prefer. After all building a foundation is
precisely what we are doing in our developmetal courses--a foundation for
college level courses.
