Hi all,

I know many of you are also ending your academic year and I wish you easy
grading of finals.

Before you go on summer break, I want to mention an opportunity for you
and your colleagues to learn more about a dynamic new product. It is
LiveMath Maker 3.0. I know some of you are familiar with LiveMath and some
of you may have used the software in a former version as MathView or
Theorist.

LiveMath Maker is a revolutionary new computer algebra system (CAS) used to
create LiveMath "notebooks". These symbolically correct notebooks may be
shared with the world via the World-Wide-Web using the free LiveMath
Plug-In. The math you create is LIVE, not static. Similar to a spreadsheet
in the way a change in one value will ripple throughout the calculations,
LiveMath allows you to perform algebraic, numerical, and graphical
experimentation with its dynamic recalculation feature. The notebooks do not
just "do the math" but can be set up to show the steps and procedures of
mathematics. Change one value and the whole notebook updates to reflect the
change. Post it to the web and anyone with the free plug-in can interact
with the notebook allowing exploration of key mathematical topics. LiveMath
is the future of mathematics education.

With so much recent emphasis on using the internet for mathematics, online
classes, and on putting math on the web easily and interactively, you may be
interested in learning more about LiveMath before the Fall conference season
gets underway. I am looking for interested schools to host professional
development training workshops this summer and early next fall. If you are
interested or know someone who is, please contact me and we can work on
setting a workshop in your area.

Please download the 30 day demo, and the free plug-in at
http://www.livemath.com. The program comes with hundreds of starter
notebooks, and the online multimedia Ask Sally help files.

I look forward to hearing from you.

 Best Regards,

 Joni Bookbinder
