MATHEMATICS FACULTY
The Technology, Mathematics, and Physical Sciences Division at Harper
College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time tenure track
faculty position in the Department of Mathematical Sciences beginning
August 2000. Qualified applicants must possess a Master’s Degree in
mathematics or equivalent, meet the AMATYC standard preparation
guidelines, and have post-secondary teaching experience, preferably at a
community college. Preferred candidates will demonstrate:
Enthusiasm for teaching
Strong knowledge of mathematics
Willingness to teach a variety of courses from developmental level
through differential equations
Significant leadership qualities at the departmental, institutional,
state, and national level
Commitment to development of curriculum, especially at the foundation
level
Qualified applicants should send a resume, a statement of
educational/teaching philosophy, a copy of undergraduate and graduate
