Rob,
I whole-heartedly agree. I really want the power of a spreadsheet on a
calculator. I use the quasi-spreadsheet features on the TI-83 in beginning
and intermediate algebra. Unfortunately, it only has column logic and not
cell logic. I think it improves my teaching and it helps student understanding.
