That shows my ignorance of LaTeX. The command I wrote is what SW produces
for me. (I peeked at the text file it makes).
I have the credentials to prove I'm no Luddite, but I wonder why LaTeX would
be recommended for someone who wants to add equations to text. How do the
equations and symbols get into the text? Don't you have to do all the work
in LaTeX, and thus make a wholesale conversion away from whatever word
processor you use?
I don't think that using LaTeX is beyond me or any member of the list, but I
just think of it as a step back, a rejection of the usability advances of
the past 15 years.
(PS: I'm a former command line junky and don't want to go back.)
Cheers
-Sandy
