I agree with others, Brian. Nice job.

If I may add my $0.02, your article gave me pause to think of this.
Is the following a suitable analogy to the growing concern about
graphing calculators in math classes?

I suppose carpenters of yesteryear were similarly apprehensive
about the use of power tools causing the demise of hand-craft wood
working skills. And sure enough, today not many carpenters take raw
pieces of walnut or maple and turn them into chairs or tables. I
occasionally watch the PBS woodworking shows, not so much to learn
how to do it by hand, but to see how it was done before the age of
power saws, pneumatic nailers, cordless drills, and so on.

I wonder if 10 years from now we might consider it similarly "quaint"
to be able to factor a polynomial or solve a system of equations by
hand. In fact, even today we could probably air a PBS special: "How
to calculate the square root of x without a calculator." (Wow! You
can do THAT?! ;-)
