[MATHEDCC] sln and software

Hi Jodi,
Our platform of choice for the entire campus is Mathcad. We have found that
it words particularly well in web-based courses. It's not too expensive and
it translates well into other packages. You may find this especially useful
for an SLN course - the template that you use is Lotus-Notes based. I have
found it to be rather unfriendly for mathematics. The more you can
transport in files that are mutually readable by you and students the
happier you will be.

I've been doing College Algebra through SLN for three years. I'd be happy
to chat outside the group with you about my experiences, if you are
interested.
