Outcomes assessment and Final Exams

Last year our college received its scheduled visit by our accrediting
association. They recommended that we put a system in place to
demonstrate evidence of learning in our developmental math classes.
Currently, I give final exams in my prealgebra and intro to algebra
classes, but don't always give pretests. I need some kind of
comparative test at the beginning and end of my courses to meet the
accrediting association's recommendation for a quantifiable outcomes
assessment. I would like to hear what some of you are doing in this
regard. Are you re-administering your placement test at the end of
your courses or giving a pre and post test in addition to the placement
test or something else? I'm catching the tail end of the conversation on
