[MATHEDCC] Multiple intelligences/learning styles

Home again from AMATYC and I am trying to figure out just what I learned
and what I am going to do about it. I went to several sessions on
learning styles and multiple intelligences, as well as learning
disabilities. Obviously there are a bunch of us who are trying to find
other pathways for our students to learn math. In discussions with
colleagues, I realized that I have trouble keeping learning style and MI
theory distinct. On the way home on the plane I was reading this month's
issue of Ed Leadership and happened upon this distinction...

"Learning styles are concerned with the PROCESS of learning, whereas
multiple intelligences center on the CONTENT and PRODUCTS of learning."

I find it easier to make accommodations for various learning styles than
for the variance in strengths of multiple intelligences. Is anybody doing
anything with MI in their classroom?
