I am seeking the following information:
How do you deal with assessment/placement testing of
students in mathematics? That is, how do you determine what
course a student should begin their mathematical studies in
(besides the program they're matriculated into)?
How do you determine if a student has already mastered the
material of a required math course?
If you allow students to place/test out of courses, what do you
do about the credits and their transcripts?
What about testing during the admissions process? Does this
play a role in placement?
Finally, what are the demographics of your students?
Specifically, average age, career goals and percentage of your
students who are recent high school graduates?
I thank you in advance for the time it will take to answer these
questions.
