The Chronicle of Higher Education printed a quote recently from a British
Lit Professor who felt that students today come to universities with lower
spelling skills than even ten years ago, which is still less than 25 years
ago.
Perhaps, students today are simply less willing to look up a word in the
dictionary than ten years ago.
