[MATHEDCC] labs about the students

I teach mostly elementary statistics. I have written
lots of lab exercises. Many of them use data from the
students in the class.

A few days ago we were studying the paired t test.
They took their pulses. Then I screamed and ran
across the room and they took their pulses again. We
showed that the women's pulses went up significantly
but there was no significant change in the men's
pulse.

The students seem more interested when the data is
about them. If anyone is interested on labs in stats
on specific topics, let me know. I might have one
that I could send you by email.
