I guess my view is too much of the standard math=20
curriculum is narrowly specialized towards=20
teaching the math you'd need to be a successful
classroom math teacher. That's a real world=20
application, to be sure, but is nevertheless=20
too specialized for many students.

My view is that I'll need to work with television
producers to circumvent the text book people. =20
We'll show what we mean by an exciting math=20
curriculum, and we won't stop just because some
math teachers complain this isn't at all what=20
they're teaching in schools today. That's the
same point I'm making, after all.
