This is a site that is concerned with implementation or rather the
non-implementation of "standards" so be forewarned if you are trying to
introduce standards in your courses. Anyone trying to introduce change
should view this area to see what the resistance is about. This group is
functionally anti-technology in the classroom and still views mathematics as
primarilly as the memorization of algebra and that is the only "real"
mathematics appropriate for student learning. The role of the teacher is to
lecture and demonstrate. The focus stayes on the teacher instead of the
student. The only "real" test is a skills test. and on and on and on. As a
teacher working for change I encourage everyone to check this site out.
Forwarned is for armed.
