We are looking at Summit. So far, it seems to be a bit more
standards-oreinted than Academic Systems (which was, when I last
looked at it, the embodiment of the worst of the tradtional approach). It is
not ready yet (for us).

Most of these programs suffer from the disease of belaboring, with
much sound, music and interaction, those topics which students can
easily learn in much less time than the computer can teach them. What
they need to do is to forget about teaching a whole course and
concentrate on those topics which are (1) tough (2) important for
students.
I include problem-solving strategies via discovery learning in a
cooperative context in the latter category. I have yet to meet a program
which can teach this.
