I think I have the makings of an algorithm here. By combining the two
methods below, sent to me and/or the list, I think I may come up with
something. I'll just get Bret's quick way to factor primes, then follow
Kate's easy steps. I imagine the public key cryptologists are already
worried, which is of course why I don't want the whole list to know about
the algorithm.
STEP 1
I know a QUICK way to factor known primes. Will that help? :-)

STEP 2
Factor it prime by prime - keep taking out 2's until no factor of 2's
left, then go to 3's, 5's, etc.
