Yes
1. they're interesting
2. they're fun
3. for two or three digit numbers, it's easier to use them than it is to
use a calculator
4. students find them *fascinating*
5. there's a lot of very subtle and interesting mathematics that goes into
understanding why they work.
6.you can use them to find the prime factorization of license plate numbers
while you are driving your kids around to their soccer games. If you had
to use a calculator, someone might get killed.
