As a matter of fact, students at my school who do have math anxiety flock to
my classes and are sent to me by other teachers. I used to hate math and am
very good at dealing with students like this. I teach them how to study
appropriately. However........ They must not be able to use this "anxiety" -
which I have found is typically a lack of background - to get out of taking
math.
