My experience is like Martha's. I taught Math For Elementary Teachers one
night a week. It was extremely interactive. I think I started with 32
students and finished with 30, all of whom passed with a C or better. I
don't think I would like to try it with an Algebra class, though I will no
longer teach algebras that meet for only 50 minute periods.
