Hi All,
Our 3 hour classes are mostly offered at night from 7 to 9:40 pm. (We do
offer some day block classes also.)
I think the question is muddied by not knowing whether or not the two
populations are the same.
I believe that many of the students in the one night per week classes are
employed full-time and taking the class in that format because it fits
their time constraints. Generally, I think these students are more
motivated to do well. Many are working toward a degree for advancement at
work. Some even get reimbursed for the class if their grades are high
enough. So possibly, they are going to do better regardless of format.
I also think the success question needs to be defined. Measuring success
by the grade in the class is one outcome. But I think we also need to look
at success in the next class.
