The students are told exactly what will be on the tests and are given
previous tests to study from. Most of these topics (but not all) fall in our
"honors" courses. These kids nod their heads politely in class and happen to
be genetically tenacious enough to memorize their way through the exams.
Grades are dispensed liberally. They have to be. I've talked to some of our
top kids and they have admitted to not "getting" any of it.
