Tony and other edccer's,
At Penn Valley Community College we have a similar setup. We have offered our lowest level Basic Math course with a cap of 20, Introductory Algebra is 25 and all other courses it is 35. We do go above these caps from time to time, especially at the first of the semester while students are changing schedules.
Our sister campuses have a flat 35 cap for all of their courses although they can opt to teach the classes using the same time format as us.

Our department (at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City,
Michigan) has been discussing what the maximum class size for math
courses should be. Currently, we have a max of 25 on Pre-Algebra and
Beginning Algebra and a max of 30 on most other courses. How does this
compare to class max's at your school?
I appreciate any response.
