At the University of Wisconsin Colleges (the Freshman-Sophomore campuses in
the UW System), we have a 35 enrollment limit for all mathematics department
courses. Some campuses have voluntarily held developmental level courses
(geometry, pre-algebra and elementary algebra) to 25 students, and we are
currently working towards making this policy uniform across all 13 campuses.

Subject: Maximum class sizes
Our department (at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City,
Michigan) has been discussing what the maximum class size for math
courses should be. Currently, we have a max of 25 on Pre-Algebra and
Beginning Algebra and a max of 30 on most other courses. How does this
compare to class max's at your school?
I appreciate any response.
