Does anyone know of any legitimate efforts to implement a Mathematics
Across the Curriculum effort, other than Kapiolani Community College, about
which I already know?
I realize that the MAA has something going in this area, but from what
I have read and from the MAA meeting I attended on the subject, this seems
to involve isolated interdisciplinary courses, such as Math-Physics or
Math-Engineering, rather than a true "across the curriculum" approach.
What I am looking for is something college-wide or close to it, in the
spirit of the Writing Across the Curriculum efforts of the recent past.
At Edmonds CC, we have adopted several college-wide "outcomes", one of
which is Quantitative Skills, and would therefore be appreciative for any
insights any of you can give me regarding what has been tried already as a
college-wide approach.
