[MATHEDCC] Call for papers: MAA Jan 1998

This is a call for papers for the contributed paper session "Applied
Calculus and Mathematics for Advanced Technical Careers" at the Joint
Mathematics Meetings in Baltimore, Jan 8-11, 1997. This session is
sponsored by MAA's CTYC (Committee for Two- Year Colleges). As one of the
organizers of the session I would encourage anyone who is planning to go to
Baltimore to submit a proposal. The following notice is forwarded from
Janet Ray. Proposals should be sent to Janet, as noted below:

>I am writing to you concerning one of the contributed paper sessions at
>the annual January meetings of AMS/MAA. The session, entitled Applied
>Calculus and Mathematics for Advanced Technical Careers, seeks papers
>dealing with mathematics courses for advanced technology programs (e.g.
>electronics, robotics, biotechnology, manufacturing, etc.)
>Mathematics content could include calculus, statistics, or other college
