The conference is in Atlanta, GA, November 13 - 16. It is co-hosted by
DeKalb College and the Georgia Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges.

You can see on-line information about it (including sessions) at

http://www.dc.peachnet.edu/%7Eunixcorn/amatyc97

thanks to the conference chairs.

If you haven't been to an AMATYC annual conference before, you might
want to give it a try.

There are many, many sessions of interest to educators concerned with the
first two years of higher ed math instruction, including the NCTM Standards,
AMATYC Crossroads, technology, computer algebra systems,... you name it!

This year there will be special sessions on the AMATYC Crossroads document,
which, if you have never seen it, can be found at

http://www.richland.cc.il.us/imacc/standards/

hosted by the Illinois Mathematics Association of Community Colleges.

This year there will also be commercial presentations, for the first time,
for "in depth guided experience with the newest commercially available
materials."

You save $30 if you register by September 30.
