Some of my students tend to expend a lot more energy worrying about and
asking about their GRADE in the course and (I feel) misplacing their focus,
redirecting their energy AWAY from the MATERIAL of the course. So I
modified a catch phrase from one of my favorite movies (Field of Dreams):
"If you learn it, the (good) grades will come."

"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable
one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore
all progress depends on the unreasonable." - G. B. Shaw (1856-1950)
