[MATHEDCC] Assessment for College Algebra

Our college is in the process of developing an assessment plan for
North Central and I would also be interested in what other colleges
are doing. I think that College Algebra will be the focus course for
the math dept. This is a hot topic around here.

Our math department is looking for an assessment tool for College
Algebra. We would like to have an exam that our students take and we
send in and receive their scores compared to other College Algebra
students in the nation. If this is not possible, we would like to just
purchase exams to give as pre- and post- exams to find "value-added" of
our College Algebra courses. Does anyone know of any such exams? What
are other community colleges doing about assessment?
