NCEDR's case studies take three main forms. NCEDR investigates a small number of cases over a several month period, using documents, interviews, and workshops to gather information. These cases are
listed below (intensive case studies). Insights in Environmental Decision Making is a compendium of brief descriptions of environmental decision-making cases. These cases may summarize investigations conducted by other researchers, draw primarily from a variety of written sources, or summarize information gathered primarily through
telephone interviews with a small number of knowledgeable people who participated in the particular environmental decision-making cases. Habitat Conservation Plans have been studied as well.
