Witness & Legacy - Contemporary Art about the Holocaust
Virtual Tours
You may also experience Witness & Legacy using two immersive technologies.
Interactive Pictures Corporation, headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, develops and markets products and services based on IPIX, 360 by 360 degree digital images that enable users to "step inside" a virtual environment. IPIX virtual tours enable users to walk through an entire environment, such as a museum, a house, or an historical landmark; IPIX capture the drama and immediacy of events far beyond the capabilities of conventional photography. Narration, music, and ambient sound can be embedded in IPIX to complement the immersive experience.
Automated IPIX, created with IPIX TV-Studio, spin, pan, zoom, and launch narration, music, and images without user interaction. The experience is much like watching video on the Web, without the large file size and long download time.
QuickTime Virtual Reality, more commonly known as QuickTime VR, is a cross-platform technology developed by Apple. QuickTime allows viewers to explore a site in 3D, rotate objects, zoom in or out of a scene, or look around 360 degrees, all while at their desktop.
