SAMAB's Cultural and Historical Resources Committee endeavors to protect the region's heritage resources through educational outreach and historic preservation planning.  
 

                    State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPO) provide information on historic and archeological resources including:
                           the National Register of Historic Places, historic preservation planning,grant assistance, tax credits, and the
                           Certified Local Government Program.
