The International Institute for Sustainable Development, Information Center Database (IISD)
Comprehensive Sustainable Development Database. This database allows one to conduct searches on areas of interest in sustainable development. Search results are in the form of indexed publications. IISD Information Center has a weekly journal review, list of projects, list of international organizations, communications for sustainable development, and information resources.

The Stockholm Environment Institute - Boston Center

The SEI-B is an international organization based in Sweden. The Boston Center location is housed in the Tellus Institute - another organization researching environmental issues. The SEI-B is part of a global research network that develops and applies methods of sustainable development at the local, national, and global levels. The Center examines policies that can best stimulate desirable environmental outcomes. SEI-B uses 'scenario analysis' computer based tools to answer this question. The Center is developing and utilizing such computer based tools is several of its research programs. Included on this site are the contact people for specific projects and further information.

President's Council on Sustainable Development

American Planning Association's Planning Advisory Service
The PAS program provides reports and an "Answer Service" to it members. Joint Center for Sustainable Communities
The JCSC was created to promote the roles that local officials must play in building sustainable communities. This Center is a coalition between the US Conference of Mayors and the National Association of Counties.
