The data sets were acquired from USGS by the University of Tennessee. 2. The files were then acquired from The University of Tennessee. by Karl A. Hermann, National Biological Service Cooperative at the University of Tennessee. Each quadrangle (28) was converted to a ARC/INFO GRID coverage with the DEMLATTICE program. One quadrangle, which was is UTM Zone 16, was projected to UTM 17 to match the other GRIDs. The GRIDs were then merged together with the ARC/INFO LATTICEMERGE program. The final step was a projection to the SAA Albers projection and coordinate system. A cellsize of 30 meters was used. 3.
