Mr. Peckham
received his liberal arts education at St. Olaf College in Northfield,
Minnesota with advanced studies in literature and philosophy at Cambridge
and Oxford Universities in England. Prior to forming HCS in 1989, Mr.
Peckham had ten years of experience in the field of technical reproduction.
As President of Hazard Communication Systems, Inc., Mr. Peckham has assisted
numerous manufacturers in the development of warnings for over sixty industries
including: Mr. Peckham is a leader in the development of safety sign standards
and holds the following positions:

- Chairman and Head of Delegation for the U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 145 Graphical Symbols.
This ISO technical committee is responsible for several international
standards including ISO 3864 Safety Colours and Safety Signs, ISO 7000
Graphical Symbols for Use on Equipment, ISO 7001 Public Information
Symbols, and ISO 9186 Testing of Public Information Symbols.

In 1999, the U.S. became the Secretariat of this important ISO Subcommittee
responsible for the registration and publication of symbols for ISO
7000 Graphical Symbols for Use on Equipment.

Delegate to ISO/IEC Joint Workgroup 11 - Graphical Symbols This joint
workgroup is responsible for all shared areas of interest between ISO
and IEC concerning graphical symbols.
