Westside Elementary School is located on the western end of Macon County bordering Sumner County. Approimately 330 students attend Westside. Mr. David Flynn is the principal and currently there are 17 homeroom classes in grades Kindergarter through 5th grade. Westside Elementary School is a Title I School! Great new changes are in place to help students achieve in new ways! Currently, Accelerated Reader is in place for students through the computer lab, Saxon Math has been implemented in grades K-2, and many new books have been purchased for daily oral reading and daily silent reading.

Macon County Schools will dismiss for Christmas Break on Saturday, December 16th, 2000. Schools will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2000. We hope everyone has a great Christmas break!!! We will see you in the new year!!!!
