Knoxville Transmitter Facility Building

This project is located in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The building consists of approx. 8,000 sq. ft. of first floor space.

Floor to structure height varies is projected to be 18 ft. clear.

The type of construction is CMU (concrete masonry units) block.

The roof system is an EPDM roof with metal roof deck.

The site and building access will be controlled by a "state of the art" security system that also provides smoke, heat, intrusion, tower obstruction lighting, and electrical power fail alarming.

There are closed circuit television cameras planned throughout the building.

Tower

The tower is a fully K-braced ERI structure with 12ft tower face width, designed to TIA/EIA-222 revision F specifications.

Candelabra top structure providing 60 ft array.

Supports broadband NTSC, DTV antenna and ENG positions.

Total tower weight is projected to exceed 350 tons.

This project is designed to accommodate at least 20 TV and FM broadcasters.
